1207 Hotel Special Class Sultanahmet

This was my second stay at the hotel, though my first under the new ownership. The location remains unbeatable, just a 2-minute walk from the Blue Mosque and about 5 minutes from Hagia Sophia. We initially encountered an issue with our first room, but it was handled promptly and professionally. The majority of our stay was spent in a very comfortable room offering stunning views of the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, and the Princes’ Islands. The service throughout was exceptional. Mesut, Enes, and Hakan were consistently helpful, offering not only assistance and advice but also engaging conversation. Elif and Shuhadah took great care of us during breakfast, always friendly and accommodating. The entire team delivered a truly five-star experience. I'm already looking forward to returning for future stays.

The staff and location of the hotel are incredible! This hotel is directly across from the Blue Mosque and easily in walking distance to most of the major attractions such as Hagia Sophia and Grand Bazaar. The T1 line is also extremely close. We were upgraded to an ocean-view room because it was our honeymoon and it was honestly beautiful. This is not a large hotel by any means but we managed fine with 2 large suitcases and carryons. We also did a lot of shopping and managed to fit the bags as well without issue. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. We also enjoyed the breakfast. It’s not a 5 star meal by any means but it was a decent selection and always tasted good. They have a good selection of teas as well. The staff is really wonderful. We had nothing but positive interactions with every member. There was an earthquake while we were there so the lift stopped working but they sent someone to help us get our luggage from our room and carry it down the stairs. They really do care about their guests. They also speak multiple languages so they were able to communicate with us in English no problem.

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like valued guests—if not part of the family. They were impressively attentive to our needs, often anticipating what we needed and taking care of things before we even had to ask. That kind of thoughtful service is rare and really stood out. What truly made the stay memorable was the way they managed to create such a homely atmosphere. Every detail—from the welcoming smiles to the cozy touches—was carefully curated to make sure we felt relaxed and cared for. It wasn’t just about providing a place to sleep; it was about creating a feeling of home away from home. If you're looking for a stay where hospitality comes naturally and comfort is a priority, this hotel delivers beautifully. Its central location also deserves praise—it made getting around Istanbul incredibly easy. Whether you wanted to visit historic landmarks, explore local neighbourhoods, or find great dining spots, everything felt effortlessly within reach

Location was amazing, so close to everything. Our room had a great view of the Blue Mosque and the Bosphorus. The breakfast was SO good every day. The staff were all friendly but special mention must go to the young waitress we had every morning at breakfast. She was so good at not only looking after us but looking after all the guests. Unfortunately I injured myself after falling while out exploring Istanbul. She was so caring, helping me up the stairs, making me a cup of tea, getting soft foods to eat and even offering to cut the food up! What a credit she is to the hotel, only wish we had asked for her name. She is amazing and so kind. Thank you for the lovely hospitality. We would recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to Istanbul.

Lovely hotel..exectly like the photos with cozy interiors. Great location to stay right near the main city sight seeing. Opposite the blue mosque. Very friendly staff who cater to your needs and make your stay very comfortable.The breakfast is also good but make sure to be early!! We also ordered room service dinners a few nights and it did not disappoint! Good sized portions! The hotel is a short 5 min walk from the tram station too so its easy to get around the city also. We stayed in February and perfect location for 1st time visitors to istanbul!
